Day 61 Positano prick

The reason for this name to the post will unfold in due course.

Today I woke at 5am and could not sleep so I got up and finished the day 60 post.

I also bought tickets for the Saturday voyage to Bari and then on to Dubrovnik. It is going to be tight on the trains 17 mins between connections.

I went to the town and had a coffee on my own it was 7am. I got fresh bread from the supermarket the bakeries were not ready yet, and wondered home.

The troops were still in bed,

I made the kids who were first up a continental breakfast. Toast with jam.

Then we walked the 100m to the port where we caught the ferry to Positano it was a 25 min trip. Positano is a village built as many are on the Amalfi coast on the hillside but this one even more so. There are many streets un navigatable by car so shanks ' pony is the only way. I am glad we are not staying here as the kids after a day on the beach would be really happy to walk 100's of steps up to the hotel/apartment.

Anyway we had a great lunch at the little dairy at the top of our walk then strolled down to the beach. For the private beach they wanted 30 euros to use the loungers and umbrella !! We went to the public beach.

It was here that the Positano prick came into play. Anna took Cody snorkeling out to the buoys and got badly stung by a jellyfish, we acted quickly and the local farmacist sorted it out pretty sharply. Thank goodness for that. She is ok!! We then hired a pedalo to investigate some more.

We then jumped back on the ferry at 3.30 and went to the Amalfi beach til 6. Had a beer on the beach I did finish this one Barry.

Then we went out for dinner had a great seafood risotto back at the barracks by 10 asleep by 10.05.

Castanet Man he serenaded us many times in amalfi.
