Today we spent the morning being sandblasted by teh strong winds. At least the pool has a glass screen around it to prevent the wind getting at you. The wind has been a problem this week.

Cambrils is 10 minutes south of Salou. It has some pretty flash boats and is also a fishing town. It has a vast array of quality shops that took th girls ages to move from one to another.

We then headed back to the hotel where we had the mandatory pre dinner drinks.

Today is the last day for our welsh friends Donna, Tracy, Lee and Greg et al.

We then played Bingo. And lost.

Day 41 Aquopolis

Today we travelled a short distance to teh AQUOPOLIS

This is a water park and Dolphinarium.

It was 96 euros to get in but you had unlimited use of the facility (it was really quiet) aswell as a dolphin show at 4pm.

As the photos reveal it was a busy busy day. The Kids loved it Cody and Lukes favourite ride was the Black Hole where a tandem tube goes down the slide in darkness with disco led lights intermittently placed down the ride.

Mine was the slide where you skim across the water. Kamikaze was exactly that.

Day 40

After breakfast of which we were yet again late to we went to  the beach nearby the hotel. We lasted about 2 hours before the wind got the better of us and we decided to head back for lunch.

In the afternoon we went to Tarragona which is the site of the largest Roman settlement in Spain in the 3rd Century.

As we returned the kids wanted to swim in the pool so we obliged and the adults partook in other liquid endeavours.!!! It was here we stayed until dinnertime.

After dinner the hotel put on a  circus act which was excellent but the best Circus act was about to unfold.

The kids had bought powerballs from a vending machine in the hotel. Needless to say one of the said objects ended up in the pool.

I tried making waves to get it to the side. Freddie was unsure of his centre of gravity and ended up in the drink. Fully clothed. This caused much amusement among many onlookers as did his father stripping off to his undies to retrieve another ball at the bottom of the pool.

Video evidence though not conclusive suggests that Freddie may have had some assistance form one Luke Jones. I will attempt to place this footage on the blog.

Today was unoficially Daves 40th Birthday.

We forgeot to change our watches therefore got to breakfast at 9.20 when it was really 10.20 and breakfast finished at 10.15!!!

Anyway this all inclusive deal is a great deal when you consider all the crap the kids are puttiong into their bodys. Ice creams, Coke, etc etc.

We had a great morning chilling by the pool and people watching. Some people really push the all inclusive to the limit both in food and grog (But not us!!!)

Day 38 E vi va Espana

Today we are off on an all inclusive holiday with Dave, Linda,Freddie and Molly Bardsley.

Our bags were expertly packed ny Anna and Linda and weighed and weighed again.

WHY?? Beware of RYAN AIR.

We drove to Liverpool airport parked the car.

Went to check in we knew we had one bag short!!!!

We went to get an extra bag it was 3 times the cost of a bag checked in on line 60 quid instead of 20.

OK our mistake.

Then they weigh and check in your handluggage, we were ok one Aussie girl behind us had to pay 60 quid because her carryon was 1 kilo over.

Any way we got to Barcelona and the hire car company did not have our booking, then it would not accept my credit card. Anyway Dave and sat nav got us to the hotel.

We then had a smorgasboard of variety for dinner.

And then retired to the bar where the kids danced and ordered drinks til they felt sick (It is all inclusive) Cody had 7

We also booked our car parking at Liverpool and our hire car in Barcelona.

When we returned the kids were going nuts so Anna, Dave and I took them down the local park which was inundated with families enjoying the May sun.

We returned to chez bardsley where I made Burgers and food was prepared for our guests.

We sat outside and chewed the fat before a respectable bed time

There was a bad crash on the M1 we sat in traffic for hours. then we got going then we had other issues with traffic!!!!! We finally got to Dave and Lindas at 7ish.

So good to see them.

After dinner we went to a Brass Band competition. 160 brass bands converge on the villages of south yorkshire. It was some event. We got to bed at 1am
