Day 83 Rain, sauna & more fishing

Today we knew it was going to be raining, so we had a nice long sleep in as usual.  Particularly as it is so bright we all have late nights and we got to bed about 1am as usual.  We started with the traditional Finnish breakfast of bread, cheeses, meat, tomato, cucumber, eggs, bacon, yogurts & cereals if you want.  By the time we finish this it's almost midday!  The boys were very excited about fishing off the pier again, and fortunately it was much easier to find the worms since it had been raining.  So Cody, Pihla & I (anna) quickly got 8 worms, and fishing began in earnest.  Cody was very successful and caught & released 6 fish.  Luke wasn't as successful and was dangerously lethal as he tried to cast the line out, having no regard to anyone else.  He eventually with some help caught a few fish.

Cody was so excited as he finally got to see the resident black snake.  He found the snakes skin on the first day and had got up very early waking me up each time to go and quietly look for the snake.  It lives near the pier and so they caught a glimpse of it slithering away.  Cody was in heaven, he caught lots of fish and saw the snake.  It was the best day ever!!

I relaxed and read my book, the kids watched a star wars movie & we all kicked back.  Early evening we started with the sauna.  Girls first we took a couple of hours going from sauna to swim in the sea and sit in the breeze, having a cider and looking out over the beautiful view.  It's a Tough life!

As the sun set, it was still light so we once again got to bed late after sharing tales of our travels with Virva & Samuli and theirs with us.

Hyvaa yota, kaunita unia.  (good night, beautiful dreams)
